The old water ring-toss toy in 3D: pump jets of water to float rings onto pegs, tip the case or turn your phone upside down. The README says Claude Code built it.

About ウォーターゲーム
ウォーターゲーム (Water Ring Toss 3D) is a free 3D version of the old water ring-toss toy for the browser. Press the left and right buttons to fire jets of water and float rings, stars, hearts, hexagons and flowers onto the pegs, and balls into baskets; a press is strongest at first and weakens if held, so tapping works best. The water is a 2D fluid simulation, so jets leave swirls that linger, and the flat rings spin and flutter as they sink under a physics engine. You can tip the case, shake it, or on a phone turn on the tilt sensor so that gravity follows the device: turned sideways or upside down, the contents sink that way and the air layer moves with them. There is a free mode and a time attack that saves your best time for each setup, and you can change the items (up to 16 from six shapes), their colours and materials (plastic, glitter, clear, metallic, pearl), the number of pegs, the water's colour and thickness and the body colour. It plays with keyboard and mouse on a computer or by tapping on a phone, in Japanese. The README credits planning and direction to the developer, たぬ (tanuu5), and development to Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5, reasoning level HIGH), and says it is an original work on the theme of the traditional toy, unconnected to any product or maker. The case, wood grain, labels and sound effects are all generated in code, with no image or audio files. Free on the developer's GitHub Pages site; the code is MIT-licensed.
How it was built
VerifiedThe README credits planning and direction to たぬ and development to Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5, reasoning level HIGH), and says Claude Code carried the work from design through implementation, tuning and testing. Rendering is three.js, collisions use the Rapier physics engine and the water is a hand-written 2D fluid simulation (Stable Fluids); the case art, wood grain, labels and sound effects are generated in code. Tuning was done in headless Chrome on a real GPU, with an automatic player pressing the buttons at random to measure how often items land on the pegs while the jet strength and base shape were set.
- DeveloperDeveloper's note post of 3 Oct 2026: five browser works, ウォーターゲーム first among them, were made with Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) between 29 Sep and 1 Oct 2026 and published on GitHub. — note (たぬ / tank_ai)
Directed by one developer, with Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5, HIGH) doing design, code, tuning and testing. No build step: ES modules, with three.js and Rapier loaded from jsDelivr. The water runs on a hand-written 2D Stable Fluids simulation with jets and vortex enhancement; Rapier handles rigid bodies and the code adds drag and buoyancy. Caustics and glitter are shaders, textures are drawn on a canvas and sound effects are synthesised with Web Audio; the game uses no image or audio files.

- Developer's note post on five works made in three days (Japanese)
Verification notes: AI use, features, controls, the licence (MIT) and the release date (29 Sep 2026, “公開” in the README's update history) come from the developer's repository README, read through raw.githubusercontent.com on 6 Nov 2026; the README links the play address, which loaded that day. The note post of 3 Oct 2026 lists the game first among five works made with Claude Code from 29 Sep to 1 Oct 2026 and says it also plays on phones. The README says the game is an original work on the theme of the traditional water ring-toss toy and is unconnected to any product or maker. The game's scripts contact no AI services. The repository's stars and commit history were not checked (github.com was not reachable from our checker). Team size and location are not stated.
Development history
Published in the browser, per the README's update history; the same day the phone tilt sensor was changed so gravity follows the device's real orientation, and items and jets were rebalanced.
