About Mekkor
Mekkor is a free 2D pixel-art action RPG with roguelite runs, playable in the browser as an alpha with one of five planned biomes. You loot KORs and use them to craft MEKs: each KOR carries a talent tree, and each MEK combines the trees of its KORs, so a robot can mix Warrior, Mage and Rogue skills; nine KORs make 84 unique MEKs, and gear crafting comes on top. The developer describes it as a combination of favourite things from other games (the talent trees, gear crafting and combat of Vanilla World of Warcraft, the monster collecting of Pokémon, the fast repeatable runs of Hades) and warns that the learning curve is steep until you have crafted gear. Under a “Generative AI Warning”, the developer, saytron3030, says they built a harness that created the game, mostly from a phone, with Claude Code remote sessions, the Nano Banana API and ElevenLabs. Free on itch.io; the page says proceeds from optional payments go towards the next biomes, and its status now reads On hold.
How it was built
Partially verifiedUnder a “Generative AI Warning” the itch.io page says: “I am not shy about how fun it was to realize my dream game and build a harness that created this game. I did it mostly from my phone with Claude Code remote sessions, Nano Banana API and ElevenLabs.” The page does not describe the harness, give a share of AI-written code or name a model. Notes in the game's audio data credit the music loops and sound effects to ElevenLabs, generated and processed with the developer's scripts before release.
A harness the developer built, driven mostly from a phone through Claude Code remote sessions, created the game, per the itch.io page; the Nano Banana API and ElevenLabs were also used. The game runs on Phaser (observed in the build), whose audio notes credit the music loops and sound effects to ElevenLabs, baked in advance with the developer's own scripts.

“I am not shy about how fun it was to realize my dream game and build a harness that created this game.”Verification notes: AI use from the itch.io page, read on 6 Nov 2026. “Build a harness that created this game … with Claude Code remote sessions” is read as Claude Code producing the game, with medium confidence; no share of AI-written code is given. The itch.io AI disclosure ticks AI Assisted, Code, Graphics, Sounds and Text. Publication (23 Oct 2026, 06:08 UTC), the On hold status, genres (Fighting, Role Playing) and tags from the itch.io page. The game's Phaser bundle contains no calls to AI services; ElevenLabs appears only in notes about pre-made audio, and Nano Banana does not appear. The build's page metadata points to mekkor.io, which on 6 Nov 2026 served a separate MEKKOR Alpha web version with leaderboards and sign-in; no page by the developer links it, so it is not listed. World of Warcraft, Pokémon and Hades are the developer's own comparisons; the KORs and MEKs are the game's own, and we found no names or assets from those games. Team size is not stated. The game was not played.
