The developer's article calls Party Easy an homage to Party Hard (2015) and says the aim was to reproduce it as closely as possible: the first level is modelled on Party Hard's opening party level, the player character is the developer's pixel-art version of Darius, Party Hard's protagonist, drawn while looking at the original, and the death, busted and result screens were built to resemble Party Hard's. The guest sprites are based on a third-party itch.io asset pack described as pixel-art characters in the style of Party Hard, whose terms allow modification. No source shows a licence or permission from Party Hard's rights holders. (Zenn (zenogawa))

About Party Easy

Party Easy is a free top-down pixel-art stealth game for the browser, made as an homage to the 2015 indie game Party Hard. You just want some sleep, which means dealing with your neighbours' loud party: eliminate targets without being spotted, hide the bodies, use traps and dance at the party, while guests who witness a kill call the police. There are three modes: Party mode (eliminate the required targets and leave), All mode (eliminate everyone) and Hard mode (everyone, with a more restrictive environment); a run takes about 20 minutes. Version 0.2.0 (June 2026) added a second level, a rooftop disco called The Rooftop, with reinforcements and hostile guests, a second playable character, the Agent, who uses a fibre wire and disguises, and per-level achievements and best times. It plays with the keyboard or a gamepad, in English. In a Zenn article the developer, zenogawa, says Claude Code basically writes the code, with the model mostly Opus 4.6, while level backgrounds and the title image came from ChatGPT's image generation and the character sprites were adapted from a third-party pixel-art asset. Made with Godot 4.6; free on itch.io.

How it was built

Partially verified

The developer's Zenn article says Claude Code basically writes the code, and that some Godot knowledge helps to fix by hand the small changes it sometimes cannot make. The developer used the Claude Code Max 5x plan, mostly with the model Opus 4.6, and says the $100 plan was the only cost. Features and logic were specified one by one (using the grill-me skill to pin down requirements) and implemented by Claude Code, including the death, busted, result and title screens, the outline option and a debug menu; Claude also edited Godot scene, GDScript and behaviour-tree files directly and worked through the godot-mcp MCP server, and ran an Aseprite Lua script that swapped the developer's hand-drawn first frame into every animation frame. The developer placed the level's collision shapes by hand in the Godot editor, drew the doors and the first frames of the characters, and tested by playing.

ChatGPTSecondary

Per the article, the level background and effect images were made with ChatGPT's image generation (free tier) and edited in Aseprite and GIMP, and the title screen shows a nightclub image made with ChatGPT.

Development approach

Made in Godot 4.6 with GDScript, with Claude Code writing the logic from detailed instructions and the LimboAI plugin's behaviour trees for the guests' behaviour. Level art comes from ChatGPT images, edited by hand; the guest sprites are based on a third-party itch.io asset pack whose terms allow modification, recoloured and redrawn, and the doors were drawn by the developer. Music is royalty-free from free-stock-music.com, sound effects come from freesound.org and Pixabay, and gamepad UI icons from a third-party itch.io pack.

Verification notes: AI use, tools, cost, assets and the homage to Party Hard come from the developer's Zenn article of 19 May 2026, re-read on 5 Nov 2026; gameplay, modes, controls, language and the rating come from the itch.io page (status Released, HTML5, made with Godot, AI disclosure “AI Assisted: Code, Graphics”), and the v0.2.0 changes from its devlog of 4 Jun 2026. The article opens with a list naming Claude Code / Codex, Gemini, Grok and Tripo3D, but that list describes the godogen project's setup, not this game's; for this game it names Claude Code and ChatGPT image generation and only says Codex might also work. The developer's Zenn profile links the strk123254 itch.io account. The article also gives a godotplayer.com page for the game, which we did not check. The itch.io page shows no publication date; its earliest comment is dated 16 May 2026, and the article of 19 May says the game was already finished and published. Party Hard's developers (Pinokl Games, Kverta) and publisher (tinyBuild) are from its Steam page. The game's script was not checked for AI services; nothing in the sources suggests any. Team size and location are not stated.
