About VibeOS - Hacking Sim
A hacking simulator that runs as a fake computer desktop in the browser. From a terminal you scan networks for other players, probe their firewalls, fight turn-based intrusion battles decided by attack and defence scripts you write or buy, and then take their VibeCoin, copy their files or plant backdoors. Around the terminal sit a dark-web browser with a script marketplace and bounty boards, a bank and crypto wallets for the in-game VibeCoin, a public ledger of hacks, a leaderboard, a global chat and several small mini-games. Accounts, chat and the leaderboard run on Firebase. The entrant says it was a first attempt at making a game this way, inspired by vibe coders on X. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the submission lists Cursor as the tool. It finished 32nd of 945 entries. Free, in desktop browsers and on phones with touch controls, although the game itself recommends a PC.
How it was built
VerifiedIn the official Vibe Jam 2026 submission the entrant lists Cursor as the tool and answers Yes to the AI-written field, and describes the game as a first try at doing what vibe coders on X were doing. No devlog describes how Cursor was used or which model ran it, and the submission covers the jam version only.
- OfficialJam rule 3: at least 90% of the code has to be written by AI. — Vibe Jam (Pieter Levels)
Built for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 as a React single-page app with Three.js, split into one code chunk per desktop app (terminal, dark-web browser, bank, wallet, script debugger, leaderboard, mini-games), with Cursor named as the tool. Accounts, chat, the leaderboard and player-versus-player data are stored in Firebase. The developer's portfolio lists the stack as Three.js, React, WebSockets and TSX.

“I was inspired by the vibejam and vibe coders on x. I always seen cool games and projects being made and woundered? Could I do the same thing. Turns out anyone can.”Verification notes: Tool (Cursor), engine, genre, pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer, mobile and portal flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data, where the game is entered as “VibeOS -Hacking Sim” (submitted 27 Apr 2026, 17:53 UTC; final rank 32 of 945 entries, no award); rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. The jam data gives the engine as ThreeJS; the page also loads React. Gameplay facts come from the game's own help pages and app code. The game page names no developer: the X profile @DeepVoidHub given in the jam data (location United States) links rickshq.com, a portfolio whose author is given as Ricky; it links back to x.com/deepvoidhub, lists the game as “VibeHack” (“an immersive 3D hacking simulation game”) and embeds vibehackos.com. Team size is not stated. The dark-web pages, scripts and other players' systems are written into the game or come from other players through Firebase; the page and its app chunks were checked on 4 Nov 2026 and make no calls to AI services. The in-game “Silk Road” marketplace sells only fictional hacking tools and hardware upgrades. The jam page's widget counters showed 479 plays and 390 portal transfers for vibehackos.com on 4 Nov 2026 (observed; sessions, not players or downloads, so not recorded as metrics). The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 27 Apr 2026.
