Rights holder / original work: Falcon 9 and Starship (SpaceX)

The game's two launch vehicles are labelled “FALCON 9” and “STARSHIP”, the names of SpaceX rockets, and its flight mode is called “Falcon 9 Flight Sandbox”. No source shows any connection to or permission from SpaceX. (Dominik Scholz)

About AI Space Agency

A 3D rocket-launch sandbox in the browser, set on an interactive globe. You fly a two-stage rocket from the launch pad, throttle and steer through the ascent, separate stages and the payload fairing, and use an orbit-insertion autopilot to reach a stable orbit, watching apoapsis and periapsis on the flight display; then you deploy satellites from a satellite manifest, among them AI compute satellites. Launching a satellite to orbit unlocks a second, larger vehicle. The entrant pitches it as “Kerbal Space Program for building your AI data-center in space” and gives space and Cursor making a deal with SpaceX as the inspiration. Despite the name, no AI runs in the game. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Cursor as the tool. It finished 64th of 945 entries. The developer is Dominik Scholz, a design engineer in Vienna. Free, in desktop and mobile browsers.

How it was built

Partially verified
CursorPrimary

In the official Vibe Jam 2026 submission the entrant lists Cursor as the tool and answers Yes to the AI-written field. The game page does not mention how it was made, and no devlog describes how Cursor was used or which model ran it. The submission covers the jam version only.

Supporting evidence
Development approach

Built for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 on Three.js, with Cursor named as the tool. The bundle uses Three.js's WebGPU renderer (with a WebGL fallback option), the Rapier physics engine compiled to WebAssembly, and Tone.js for audio; the page's title and description still read “asp | Globe Prototype”, an interactive Three.js globe with continent and country polygons.

“Kerbal Space Program for building your AI data-center in space”
— Dominik Scholz, Vibe Jam 2026 games data (entrant submissions, final rank, awards)

Verification notes: Tool (Cursor), engine, genre, pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer (No), mobile and portal flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 1 May 2026, 02:31 UTC; final rank 64 of 945 entries, no award); rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. Kerbal Space Program is the entrant's own comparison; no names or assets from it were found. The game's vehicles are labelled “FALCON 9” and “STARSHIP”, names of SpaceX rockets (see the IP notice). Developer: the jam data gives the X handle dom_scholz (Dominik Scholz, Vienna, Austria; links dominikscholz.com), which the game's credit links; dominikscholz.com describes him as a design engineer working on visualisations and computer graphics and lists other projects but not this game. Team size is not stated. Flight stages, the autopilot, the satellite manifest and the Starship unlock come from the game's script. The “AI” in the title is the theme only: the game's code talks only to the jam widget and portal and Google Fonts, and no calls to AI services were found (microphone code in the bundle belongs to the Tone.js audio library and is not used for AI). The jam page's widget counters showed 329 plays and 55 portal transfers for aispaceagency.com on 4 Nov 2026 (observed; sessions, not players or downloads, so not recorded as metrics). The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 1 May 2026.

Development history

  1. Entered in the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 on the deadline day (submission date in the official games data); the jam required at least 90% AI-written code. Final rank 64 of 945 entries, no award.
