About A Lost Star

A 3D space flight game in the browser set in procedurally generated worlds made of glowing blocks. The game's About panel describes a solitary wanderer drifting through forgotten galaxies. Light is the resource: you gather it by flying close to the rock or breaking crystals, every shot spends some, and you carry it through beacons; creatures such as moths drink your light while maws and wardens guard the passages, and other pilots can be shot down for theirs. You steer with the mouse or by dragging on a phone, and you can fly alone or with other pilots. The entrant pitches it as beautiful alien space landscapes and space dogfighting, inspired by Minecraft, EVE Online and Quake 3. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Claude Code as the tool. It finished 143rd of 945 entries. Free, with no install or login, on its own domain.

— Fela, Vibe Jam 2026 games data (entrant submissions, final rank, awards)

Verification notes: Tool (Claude Code), engine, genre, pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer (Yes), mobile (Yes) and portal (Yes) flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 29 Apr 2026, 05:09 UTC; final rank 143 of 945 entries, no award), re-read on 4 Nov 2026; rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. Developer: the jam data gives the X handle felacalana; the game's credit links that profile, whose display name is Fela and whose bio links the game (read via api.fxtwitter.com on 4 Nov 2026; an earlier lookup the same day returned not found). The profile's location field is not recorded. The bio's other project, sloppy.live, is described there as a site where an AI vibecodes viewers' suggestions live; it is a separate project and was not opened. The About text, controls and the light, beacon and enemy mechanics come from the game's script; the game was not played, and how the multiplayer works was not checked. Minecraft, EVE Online and Quake 3 are named as inspiration only; no names or assets from them were found, so no IP notice is attached. The game's script was checked for calls to AI services and none were found. The jam page's widget counters showed 702 plays and 1,398 portal transfers for aloststar.com on 4 Nov 2026 (observed; sessions, not players or downloads, so not recorded as metrics). The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 29 Apr 2026.
