About Blockzilla
A browser roguelite in which you play a giant kaiju loose in New York. You smash blocks of the city, fight off the military and pick new mutations and powers as you level up and grow; runs end on a score you can post to a leaderboard. The developer pitches it as “Vampire Survivors meets Rampage” and says the idea came from loving Rampage as a child and wanting a power fantasy where you destroy the city instead of saving it. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Claude Code as the tool, and the game's start screen says it was “Built with Cursor & Claude Code”, with music and sound effects made with ElevenLabs. It finished 23rd of 945 entries. Free, on desktop and on phones held in landscape.
How it was built

No devlog describes how it was used or which model ran it, and the submission covers the jam version only.

“Growing up as a kid, I loved playing Rampage as a huge monster. I fused the idea with roguelike mechanics to create a crazy power fantasy.”Verification notes: Tool (Claude Code), engine, genre, pitch, inspiration and the mobile and portal flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 28 Apr 2026; final rank 23 of 945 entries, no award); rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. The start screen credits “Cursor & Claude Code” for the build, ElevenLabs for music and sound effects and Three.js for the 3D assets. The game page names no developer: the name comes from the X profile @markfersh given in the jam data (display name Mark Fershteyn, location New York, USA, bio “7 figure SaaS CEO → AI trainer and game dev”), which links masteringai.io, a site whose founder is listed as Mark Fershteyn. Team size is not stated. On phones the game asks you to rotate to landscape. The page and its main script were checked for calls to AI services and none were found; the ElevenLabs audio ships as files with the game.
