About Fat Cat Sumo Lite
A 1v1 sumo brawler in the browser in which two very fat cats try to shove each other out of the ring. There are no health bars, only stamina. Each round the cats charge, collide in a comic-book smoke cloud and lock into a grapple; you mash W to push, which drains stamina, hold Space to block, which restores stamina but lets you slide backwards, and when your stamina is empty you can click for a Frenzy: a wheel spins and hitting the target zone gives back stamina and a burst of momentum, while a miss leaves you open. You lose the moment your feet cross the ring line. Single player is an arcade climb up a mountain staircase, one CPU opponent per step with rising difficulty, ending with a boss fight against an evil version of your cat, with three continues. Rings are themed (sakura petals, neon specks, embers), the cats have their own voice callouts, recorded by the developer, and the audio has stereo panning and separate music and effects sliders. The developer, Sandro Pires (BigBro Games, Portugal), made it for the VibeBlitz x Minds by Animoca Brands game jam in July 2026 and writes that Claude wrote the game itself, while GPT made the art, Pika animated it and Minds' Game Designer Mind acted as art and technical director. This is the Lite build; the developer says a full version is planned for Steam. Free in the browser, with no install or account.
How it was built
Partially verifiedIn the jam submission's notes on AI use the developer writes: “Code — Claude Fable wrote the game itself: canvas rendering, the stamina/block/frenzy loop, the CPU opponent, the Web Audio mixer with panning and volume sliders, and the whole screen flow.” The developer worked with it conversationally, arguing about mechanics before any code was written and then iterating build by build. “Claude Fable” is the developer's wording for the model; which Claude product was used is not stated. The same notes say GPT generated the cats, rings, interface panels, result screens and progression map, Pika animated those stills so frames could be extracted as sprite sheets, and Minds' Game Designer Mind (Animoca Brands) acted as art and technical director. The concept, design decisions, all the voice acting and the judgement of what felt good to play were the developer's.
A single-file HTML5 canvas game in JavaScript, built during the VibeBlitz jam (13–27 July 2026), whose rules required Minds' Game Designer Mind to be used for at least 50% of production and notes on AI use with each entry. Minds set the order and shape of the work, Claude wrote the code, GPT and Pika made the art and its animation frames, and the developer recorded the voices and cat noises.

“Code — Claude Fable wrote the game itself: canvas rendering, the stamina/block/frenzy loop, the CPU opponent, the Web Audio mixer with panning and volume sliders, and the whole screen flow.”Verification notes: Gameplay, features and AI use from the developer's VibeBlitz submission on vibecode.game (a directory run with YGG, where jam entries carry the entrant's own description, AI Tools Used and How AI was integrated answers), re-read on 6 Nov 2026. The jam rule concerns Minds' Game Designer Mind, not code, so it is not counted as evidence; the evidence is the developer's statement that Claude wrote the game itself. No AI code percentage is given. “Claude Fable” is quoted as the developer writes it; we could not match it to a published model name. Developer: the vibecode.game profile reads “I’m Sandro Pires, a self-taught solo game developer from Portugal and the creator of BigBro Games” and links x.com/bigbrostudiosAI; the submission is credited to “Sandro at Big Bro Studios”. vibecode.game gives the release date only as July 2026. No jam placement is recorded: we did not find official results naming this entry. The page also lists ChatGPT and Minds as tools; the submission text names “GPT” for the art, so ChatGPT is not recorded as a separate tool. The planned Steam version is the developer's statement; no Steam page was found. The web build (a single HTML file) was checked for calls to AI services and none were found; it reads “A BIGBRO GAMES PRODUCTION” on load. The game was not played.
