About Fireplace Vibe
A small, cozy score-attack game in the browser about keeping a fire alive, shown on its own page as Cozy Fire Builder. You begin at dusk beside a campfire and try to keep the night at bay for as long as you can: you feed the fire from a supply of sticks, hold down to charge and throw on a log, and blow on the flames, while keeping an eye on the oxygen and smoke levels. Clear, windy, rainy and snowy weather changes how fast the fuel burns, and passing events such as a wind gust, damp wood or perfect air help or hurt for a while; a wolf's silhouette wanders the dark hillside. The run ends when the fire goes out or when you suffocate in the smoke, and the game shows how many seconds you lasted next to your best session. The entrant says they wanted a cozy game, failed to build a cozy world for mountain-bike travel and pivoted to a simple fireplace. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Google AI Studio as the tool. It finished 84th of 945 entries. Free, on desktop and mobile browsers.
How it was built
Partially verifiedGoogle AI Studio, Google's browser-based tool for building apps with Gemini models. In the official Vibe Jam 2026 submission the entrant lists “AI Studio Google” as the tool (and “Google AI Studio” as the engine) and answers Yes to the AI-written field. No devlog says which model was used or how. The game itself makes no calls to Gemini or other AI services. The submission covers the jam version only.
- OfficialJam rule 3: at least 90% of the code has to be written by AI. — Vibe Jam (Pieter Levels)
Built for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 with Google AI Studio named as the tool. The live game is a React web app that draws the scene on a 2D canvas, with Framer Motion for the interface; the best session is kept in the browser's local storage.

“I wanted a cozy vibes game, I failed to create a cozy world for MTB traveling, so I pivoted to a simple fireplace.”Verification notes: Tool (“AI Studio Google”), engine (“Google AI Studio”), genre (“Point and click”), pitch (“Enjoy fireplace”), inspiration and the multiplayer (No), mobile and portal flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (final rank 84 of 945 entries, no award); rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. Google AI Studio is not one of the tools this site tracks, so the tool is recorded as undisclosed with Google AI Studio named in the text. The submission is dated 1 May 2026, 13:39 UTC, two minutes after the 13:37 UTC deadline on the jam page; it was still ranked. Developer: the jam data gives the X handle mycolaos (display name Tiro Aeternus), whose bio lists the game's address and links mycolaos.com, the site of Mycolaos, “a Frontend Engineer”; that site does not list the game. Team size and location are not stated. Fuel, oxygen and smoke, weather, events, the end conditions and the best-session record come from the game's script. We include it as a game because it has a goal (last as long as possible), two fail states and a score; it is a very small one. The game's script talks only to the jam widget and Google Analytics; it contains no Gemini SDK or other calls to AI services. The jam page's widget counters showed 457 plays and 308 portal transfers for fireplacevibe.mycolaos.com on 4 Nov 2026 (observed; sessions, not players or downloads, so not recorded as metrics). The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 1 May 2026.
