About Protect the Sheep
A 3D tower-defense game in the browser. Enemies take the shortest open route to your sheep, so you place towers on a grid to force them onto a longer, winding path, across 35 waves. As you go you commit to archetypes, Magic, Modern, Nature, Celestial, Necromancer and Clockwork, each unlocking its own towers, specializations and perks, from arcane beams and chain lightning to miniguns, spore clouds, soul harvesters and steam cauldrons, plus abilities that hit every enemy on the field. You can also play online in rooms joined with a room code, where each player defends their own field and empty slots can be filled with computer-controlled players. The entrant names the old Warcraft III tower-defense maps the entrant loved as a child as the inspiration. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Claude Code as the tool. It finished 610th of 945 entries. Free, on desktop and mobile browsers.
How it was built
Partially verifiedIn the official Vibe Jam 2026 submission the entrant lists Claude Code as the tool and answers Yes to the AI-written field. The game does not mention AI, and no devlog says which model ran Claude Code or how it was used. The submission covers the jam version only.
- OfficialJam rule 3: at least 90% of the code has to be written by AI. — Vibe Jam (Pieter Levels)
Built for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 on Three.js with Claude Code named as the tool, with Tone.js for audio. Online play is peer-to-peer over WebRTC through the Trystero library, which uses public Nostr relays to bring players together, so the game runs no server of its own.

“Six tower archetypes, thirty-five waves, one sheep.”Verification notes: Tool (Claude Code), engine (ThreeJS), genre (“Strategy, Tower defense”), pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer (Yes), mobile (Yes) and portal (No) flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 29 Apr 2026, 17:46 UTC; final rank 610 of 945 entries, no award); rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. Both re-read on 5 Nov 2026. Developer: the X handle in the jam data, henrikvberglund (Henrik Berglund, frontend developer, location Sweden), links github.com/henrikvilhelmberglund, and the game is hosted on henrikvilhelmberglund.com, whose portfolio is titled “Henrik Berglunds portfoliosida”; the game itself carries no author credit and the portfolio's front page does not link it. Team size is not stated. Archetypes, waves, towers, abilities and the room-code lobby come from the game's page description and script; the computer-controlled players are scripted strategies in the game's code, not AI models, and the game makes no calls to AI services (checked 5 Nov 2026). The Warcraft III tower-defense maps are named as inspiration only; no Warcraft names or assets were found (an ability called Blizzard is a frost spell), so no IP notice is attached. The jam page's widget counter showed 70 plays for protect-the-sheep.henrikvilhelmberglund.com on 5 Nov 2026 (observed; sessions, not players or downloads, so not recorded as a metric). The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 29 Apr 2026.
