About VECTORCLAD

VECTORCLAD is a free mech-combat tech demo that runs in the browser. You pick a 40-foot frame, the FS-07A Vanguard or the heavy HV-02 Obsidian, ride a lifter in from the harbour and drop into the Financial District of Port Meridian, which is overrun by spider-frames: six-legged machines that crawl up towers, leap from roof to roof and attack with plasma, lasers, webs, mortars and suicide pounces. Scorpion-frames dig up out of the streets, heavier frames bridge the gaps between roofs, a black millipede hundreds of feet long can crawl out of a portal and drape itself over the blocks, and lifters set down tanks that fight on your side. You fight with hand weapons, a shield, shoulder cannons and missile salvos, and can jump, jet and dash. Because it is still a tech demo, nothing attacks on its own: you open a summon menu and call in any monster, from a single spider to two hundred, through portals in the sky. The developer's post adds destructible terrain and physics, tiny people and furniture inside the buildings, and a grappling hook to slingshot around town after leaving the mech. It is played with keyboard and mouse, or with touch controls on a phone in landscape. The developer, who says they started vibe coding games two weeks earlier, made it with ChatGPT and Claude Code on three.js and plans to turn it into a full game.

How it was built

Partially verified

In a post on r/aigamedev (25 Oct 2026, UTC) titled “I started vibe coding games 2 weeks ago”, the developer calls VECTORCLAD the second AI game they have made in two weeks and writes: “Everything done in ChatGPT and Claude Code using three.js.” The title says the sandbox was made in just a few days. The post does not say which parts each tool did, name a model or give a code share.

ChatGPTSecondary

Named together with Claude Code in the same post (“Everything done in ChatGPT and Claude Code using three.js”); its role is not described separately.

Development approach

Per the developer, everything was done in ChatGPT and Claude Code on three.js, as part of vibe coding games they began two weeks before the post; the sandbox itself took a few days. The page is a set of JavaScript modules on GitHub Pages: a boot script loads the title theme first, then the title screen and the game.

— agilancer, I started vibe coding games 2 weeks ago. I can't believe I was able to make this in insane sandbox in just a few days. (r/aigamedev)

Verification notes: The AI claim comes from the developer's post on r/aigamedev by u/batmessiah (25 Oct 2026, 17:03 UTC), read from the Arctic Shift Reddit archive; the post links this page. The Reddit name differs from the GitHub Pages account agilancer, and the page does not link back, so the tie rests on the post alone. The post's wording is that everything was done in ChatGPT and Claude Code; it does not literally say the AI wrote the code, but the developer frames it as vibe coding. Frames, enemies, weapons, controls and the summon menu come from the game page (checked 4 Nov 2026), which labels itself a field trial and tech demo and says nothing attacks until you summon it. Destructible terrain, the people and furniture inside buildings and the grappling hook are from the post; we did not play the game to confirm them. The page's boot script and its description mention no AI services. The same developer's earlier game VELSCOUR (agilancer.github.io/velscour) is a separate title and not covered here. Team size and location are not stated.

Development history

  1. The developer shares the sandbox tech demo on r/aigamedev and says it will become a full game eventually.
