About It Remembers
A top-down stealth horror game set in a maze. You go down into the dark with a torch to find the relic in each maze and carry it back out, while something hunts you that moves only where your light does not reach. Your torch draws a map as it lights the walls, and you keep that map between runs, but the thing hunting you keeps what it has learned too; bring out three relics to win. You can sneak, put your torch out and relight it, hide in a crate and use a flare, and if its eyes turn red you should back away. The music changes on the beat as the stalker stalks, hunts and charges. The developer, SparePower, designed, directed and playtested the game and says Claude (Claude Code, Opus 5.5) wrote all of the code and made the art, the music and nearly all of the sound, in code and with no image generators; the one exception is a CC0 crate recording. Free in the browser on itch.io, desktop only with a keyboard, and headphones are recommended; it was entered in AI Browser Game Jam 5.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe itch.io page's “How AI was used” section says the developer designed, directed and playtested, and Claude (Claude Code, Opus 5.5) wrote all of the code and made the art, music and nearly all of the sound, in code. The code was written from the developer's design and playtest notes, over 100 versions in two weeks, each checked by a scripted playtest before the developer played it. The art (the stone maze, the hooded wanderer, the crawling stalker, the title scene and logo) was drawn in code with no image generators; the two songs were written as code with ZzFXM; the stalker's clicks, the footsteps and the torch were synthesized. The stalker was designed in conversation and tuned from recordings of the developer's own playtests. A starter template, test and build tools and the dynamic music system were made with Claude in the week before the jam.
- DeveloperAI Browser Game Jam 5 submission, AI Tools Used: “Code, art, music, sound and text drafts: Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5).” — itch.io (AI Browser Game Jam 5, hosted by Focaccai)
A one-person design with Claude Code doing the implementation, per the itch.io page. The game runs on the LittleJS engine, with ZzFX for sound and ZzFXM for music (all under the MIT licence); the title font is Cinzel (SIL Open Font License 1.1) and one crate sound is a CC0 recording. Every one of the more than 100 versions was checked by a scripted playtest before the developer played it. The developer reports that bots were a poor guide to how the stalker should feel (the first one sneaked 59% of the time, against the developer's 6%), so after that the bots only checked that nothing broke and the developer's own recorded runs decided the tuning. The developer says everything in the game was made during the jam, apart from the starter template, tools and music system prepared the week before, which the rules allowed.

“I designed, directed and play tested; Claude (Claude Code, Opus 5.5) wrote all the code and made the art, music and nearly all the sound, in code.”Verification notes: AI use from the “How AI was used” section of the itch.io page and the AI Tools Used answer on the official AI Browser Game Jam 5 submission page, both re-read on 5 Nov 2026. Both name Claude Code with Claude Opus 5.5; the page says Claude wrote all the code, but no share is given, so no AI code share is recorded. The itch.io AI disclosure ticks Code, Graphics, Sounds and Text. The developer is recorded as solo from the page's “Made by me (design, direction, playtesting) with AI”; team size is not otherwise stated. Engine and libraries from the page's credits; the browser build's script also names LittleJS. Publication (25 Oct 2026, 17:25 UTC), the In development status, the English language field, the keyboard-only input and the controls from the itch.io page. The build makes no calls to AI services. Jam voting was still open on 5 Nov 2026, so no placement is recorded; itch.io shows no public rating. The game was not played.
