About Mitts: Just One More Bin
Mitts: Just One More Bin is a free top-down stealth game that runs in the browser and is made for phones. You are Mitts, a raccoon raiding a street's trash cans at night: rummage through the bins, dodge the homeowners' flashlights and their dogs, and carry the sack home to the storm drain before dawn. Only banked loot counts, and the push-your-luck twist is that every extra item pays a greed bonus but slows you down, while a trip nobody noticed pays a ghost bonus; if you are caught, you lose a heart and the whole sack. Walls block the light, bushes hide you and noise makes the homeowners turn. A night lasts about 75 seconds; there are 15 nights across three neighbourhoods, an endless Night Shift after night 15, a new Daily Heist street every day that is the same for everyone, side jobs and seven upgrades bought with coins. It plays with a touch stick on phones and with the keyboard on a computer, and saves on your device. The developer, a backend engineer making a first game, set up six Claude Code subagents as designer, engineer, art director, artist, playtester and marketer, with the engineer owning the code, and says “i didn't write the game code myself”. The menu portraits were made with Gemini; everything else on screen is drawn by the game's code. Free since 24 Oct 2026, with no ads, purchases, account or download. In English.
How it was built
Partially verifiedIn a post on r/ClaudeAI (26 Oct 2026, UTC) the developer says that instead of one Claude Code session doing everything, they set it up like a tiny studio and made themselves the producer: six subagents in .claude/agents (designer, engineer, art director, artist, playtester and marketer) each own a part, with the engineer owning the code, while the main session coordinates them and the developer makes the calls. “i didn't write the game code myself, but i argued with it a lot.” DESIGN.md and ROADMAP.md serve as the team's memory, and a CLAUDE.md rule says a gameplay change must update DESIGN.md in the same commit. The engineer built a headless simulation in which bots play thousands of nights in seconds to test the balance, a step mode lets the playtester agent play the real game move by move, features are built on separate branches in git worktrees so two or three agents can work at once, and after launch Claude wrote an anonymous play counter and reads its numbers itself.

Per the developer's Reddit post, the raccoon portraits on the menus are made with Gemini; a comment in the game's code says the front-view portrait was made with Gemini on 14 Oct 2026. Everything in the game itself is drawn by code.
Built by Claude Code subagents with the developer as producer, per the Reddit post, in vanilla JavaScript on a canvas with no build step. All the game rules live in one deterministic file that also runs in Node, which the shipped core.js confirms (its header calls it a simulation core with no DOM, canvas or audio, in which every night can be replayed from its seed). The developer says it took about three weeks and around 400 commits from the first commit to launch. After launch an anonymous event counter (a Cloudflare Worker with D1, no cookies) was added, which players can turn off.

“i didn't write the game code myself, but i argued with it a lot.”Verification notes: The AI claim comes from the developer's post on r/ClaudeAI by u/ConcertTasty6181 (26 Oct 2026, 21:02 UTC), read from the Arctic Shift Reddit archive; it links playmitts.com. The post does not contain a single “Claude wrote the code” sentence: it says the engineer subagent owns the code and that the developer did not write the game code. The game's About page (updated 25 Oct 2026) confirms one person with a team of AI agents, without naming a tool. Features, the release date of 24 Oct 2026 (also the first Daily Heist) and the language come from the About page. The shipped code (core.js and game.js, version 0.1.0 of 1 Nov 2026, checked 4 Nov 2026) is unminified with comments that refer to the developer as the producer; it contains no OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter or Groq addresses, and its only outside address is the event counter at e.playmitts.com. The guards and dogs are game logic. The post's launch-day figures (0 of 6 players clearing night 4, then 3 of 6) are the developer's own. No developer name or location is given. The game was not played.
