About NanoBreach
A 3D top-down stealth-action game in the browser, titled NanoHacker on its own screen. Each level asks you to find the target, hack it and reach the extraction point; you move with WASD, shoot with J and hack with R, and a failed run sends you back to start a new one. Enemies include drones, mechanical dogs, grenade-throwing spider bots, chrome knights and mechas, and the game's code lets you take over a mecha and drive it; breaching the goal sets off an alarm that brings reinforcements, and the code includes a slow-motion effect. The entrant pitches it as a mix of Superhot, Commandos and a hack roguelike, made as a “nexgen” take on an old roguelike the entrant is a fan of, with many changes rather than a 3D port. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Claude Code, together with Tripo, an AI 3D-model generator. It finished 570th of 945 entries. Free, for desktop browsers; the submission marks it as not mobile-ready.
How it was built
Partially verifiedIn the official Vibe Jam 2026 submission the entrant lists “Claude Code and Tripo” (Tripo is an AI 3D-model generator) and answers Yes to the AI-written field. The game does not mention AI, and no devlog says which model ran Claude Code or how it was used. The submission covers the jam version only.
- OfficialJam rule 3: at least 90% of the code has to be written by AI. — Vibe Jam (Pieter Levels)
Built for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 on Three.js with Claude Code named as the tool; the submission also names Tripo, an AI 3D-model generator. The game is served as plain JavaScript modules (player, enemy types, hack minigame, tutorial level, level tiles and audio) with Three.js loaded from a CDN, and it talks to no game server.

“A mix between superhot, commandos and a hack roguelike game”Verification notes: Tool (“Claude Code and Tripo”), engine (ThreeJS), genre (“Action, Strategy”), pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer (No), mobile (No) and portal (No) flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 30 Apr 2026, 03:04 UTC; final rank 570 of 945 entries, no award); rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. Both re-read on 5 Nov 2026. Title: the jam entry is NanoBreach, while the game's page title and screen read NanoHacker; the jam title is used. Developer: the game credits @josepho, the X handle in the jam data; that profile (display name josepho, location Valencia, Spain) describes an indie developer, freelance designer and consultant who created Puzzle Cross Pirates and worked on Dragon City, Monster Legends, Monument Valley 3 and Merge Mansion. The game is hosted on a subdomain of questtracers.com, a game-dev-for-hire site that presents Puzzle Cross Pirates as its game; the relationship between the developer and Questtracers is not stated, so no team size is recorded. The old roguelike the entrant names as inspiration is not identified, and no names or assets from Superhot or Commandos were found. Objectives, controls, enemy types, mecha takeover, alarm reinforcements and the slow-motion effect come from the game's screen and script; the game was not played through. The script loads Three.js from unpkg and talks only to the jam widget otherwise; no calls to AI services were found (checked 5 Nov 2026). The jam page's widget counter showed 80 plays for nanobreach.questtracers.com on 5 Nov 2026 (observed; sessions, not players or downloads, so not recorded as a metric). The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 30 Apr 2026.
