About SpAIceRocks
SpAIceRocks is a free match-3 puzzle game for Windows in which you are an interplanetary mining prospector in a dystopian galaxy. You match three or more minerals to collect them, with limited moves to meet each level's collection goals, and spend the credits you earn on clearing tools (plus-shaped, column and row clearers), new mineral types and the rights to mine on new planets. There are six planets, each with its own atmosphere, dark history and exclusive minerals, from toxic swamps to frozen moons, and success unlocks bigger boards up to 12×12. It needs only a mouse. The developer, Chris Harden, describes it as a Unity 6 game being developed with as much AI as possible and says on Steam that it was built almost completely with AI: the game logic was generated with Cline (a VS Code plugin) with Claude and with Unity Muse, the graphics come from Midjourney, the music from Udio, and ChatGPT and Claude helped choose fonts, while the sound effects and particle effects are not AI-made. The Unity source and art are public on GitHub. Free on Steam for Windows since 20 Jan 2025, in English.

How it was built
Partially verifiedThe Steam store text says the open-source game “has been generated almost completely built with AI”, starting with “Game logic generated from Cline (VSCode plugin) + Claude AI & Unity Muse”; the README says the developer is building it “using as much AI as I possibly can”. Cline is the coding agent the developer ran in VS Code, and Unity Muse is Unity's AI assistant; no Claude model is named, and no code share is given. The README adds that the developer goes to ChatGPT and Gemini “when I want a different take on a problem”.
- DeveloperREADME: “This is a Unity 6 match 3 PC game for Steam that I am developing using as much AI as I possibly can.” It lists “Game logic generated from Cline (VSCode plugin) + Claude AI & Unity Muse”. — GitHub (chrisaharden)
A Unity 6 project whose game logic, per the developer, was generated with Claude through the Cline plugin for VS Code and with Unity Muse; the developer also consults ChatGPT and Gemini for a different take on problems. Per the Steam text and the README, the graphics come from Midjourney (paid subscription), with backgrounds removed by Rembg, the music from Udio, and the font from suggestions by ChatGPT and Claude; the sound effects (optimizerai.xyz and freesound.org) and the special effects (Unity Particle Pack) are marked as not AI. The store text says the trailer's closing animation was generated with “Reflection Image to Text”; its soundtrack is an extended Udio track from the game. The README calls the project a work in progress and includes a progression diagram (mine, earn credits, buy tools and ships, reach new planets).

“This is a Unity 6 match 3 PC game for Steam that I am developing using as much AI as I possibly can.”Verification notes: The AI claim rests on the developer's Steam store text and AI disclosure (read on 4 Nov 2026), which say the game was built almost completely with AI and that the game logic was generated with Cline + Claude and Unity Muse, and on the README of the GitHub repository the disclosure links (raw file read on 4 Nov 2026). The code was generated with two AI tools (Claude through Cline, and Unity Muse), so it is not known how much each contributed. Cline and Unity Muse are not tools tracked on this site; Claude is recorded as the tool. The GitHub web page could not be opened from our network, so the repository's licence and star count were not checked. The website listed on Steam (chrisharden.com/index.php/spaicerocks/) returned an empty page on 4 Nov 2026, and the YouTube series was not watched. Release date, price, platform and language from the Steam store API; the review figures from the store page on 4 Nov 2026. The only Steam announcement is a v1.1 fix released on launch day.
Development history
Released free on Steam for Windows; a v1.1 fix for a giant, non-working Zuunium mineral on planet Novalith follows the same day.
