About あの日の教室
あの日の教室 (“that day's classroom”) is a free browser game in 30 short episodes of a few minutes each. During lessons you pass a letter from seat to seat, keeping it out of the teacher's sight, until it reaches the classmate it is meant for. There is no main character: from the new school year in spring to graduation, the year of one class is told through the notes that go round its classroom, with children's small talk and small relationships that move forward from episode to episode. In episode 15, “返事がない” (No answer), the teacher calls on the pupils from the front and the child asleep in the back row does not reply; the teacher stays silent for three seconds before walking over, a pause the developer asked for and the AI set at three seconds. It runs in the browser on iPhone, Android and PC from one address, in portrait; the first load is about 125 MB and iOS 15 or earlier is not supported. The developer, Memory Reframed Lab, writes on note as a non-programmer who cannot write a single line of code and says all of the game's program was written by AI: ChatGPT and Codex organised the requirements, designed, supervised, reviewed and instructed Claude Code, and Claude Code implemented, fixed and tested, while the developer decided what to make, flagged what felt wrong, set priorities and chose what to keep. It is published as a free monitor version to collect feedback; in November 2026 the developer said the second half (15 episodes), the letters and the ending were being remade, because the later episodes worked but were not fun to play. In Japanese.
How it was built
Partially verifiedIn a note article of 2 Oct 2026 the developer writes: “この作品のプログラムは、すべてAIが書きました。” (All of this work's program was written by AI.) The developer lists the roles: the developer (what to make, preferences, what feels wrong, priorities, adopting or rejecting, final decisions); ChatGPT/Codex (organising requirements, design, supervision, review and instructions to Claude Code); and Claude Code (implementation, fixes, tests and technical deliverables). Before completion the AI prepared dozens of automated tests and checked whether they caught deliberately broken rules. The developer stresses that passing tests and being satisfied were not the same thing.
- DeveloperFollow-up article (5 Nov 2026): Claude Code built a check that searches whether each episode can be cleared without using its gimmick, and the second half is being remade on that basis; whether it is fun is left to the developer's own play. — note (Memory Reframed Lab / reframedlab)
Credited together with ChatGPT (“ChatGPT/Codex”) with organising requirements, design, supervision, review and writing the instructions for Claude Code. The article does not say how the work was split between ChatGPT and Codex.
Directed by the developer, with ChatGPT/Codex as planner and reviewer and Claude Code as implementer and tester; the developer judged the results by playing on real devices. The play page is a Godot web export (observed in its files: a GODOT_CONFIG block and a game package of about 91 MB).

- Developer's note article on remaking the second half (Japanese)
Verification notes: AI use, roles, gameplay and requirements come from the developer's note articles of 2 Oct 2026 and 5 Nov 2026 (both 19:00 JST), re-read on 6 Nov 2026. The play page loaded that day; its files are a Godot web export, so the engine is our observation, not a developer statement. The readable strings of the game package contain no AI service addresses, but its scripts are packed and were not fully checked; neither article describes AI used during play. The game was not played. The developer signs as Memory Reframed Lab (note account reframedlab; the game is hosted on the GitHub Pages account memoryreframedlab); no name, location or team size is given. The developer says the next game will be chosen with readers through a “game audition”. No date is given for a full release; the monitor version was public by 2 Oct 2026. The romanised title is ours.
Development history
The developer's first note article: all 30 episodes are playable to the end, published as a monitor version to collect feedback.
The developer reports remaking the second half (15 episodes), the letters and the ending before preparing the release, because the later episodes were not fun.
