About Vibefall
A first-person movement shooter in the browser, built around parkour, firefights and fights at mech scale. The start page calls it a vertical slice of a larger game “built in one month for Vibejam 2026” and offers three things to play: The Gauntlet, a parkour speedrun course with a global leaderboard; a short tutorial; and Facility Assault, a special-operations mission across rooftops into a facility, where you can call in your own mech. You carry a pistol, a rifle and grenades, and can dash. The page names Titanfall and Severed Steel as inspirations, and in the jam submission developer Kieran Smith writes that at the start of the jam it was unclear to them what AI could vibe-code, so it felt like an ambitious project. The jam's rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the submission lists Codex as the tool. It finished 52nd of 945 entries. Free; more levels are promised.
How it was built
VerifiedIn the official Vibe Jam 2026 submission the entrant lists Codex as the tool and answers Yes to the AI-written field, and writes that at the start of the competition it was unclear what AI was capable of vibe coding. No devlog describes how Codex was used or which model ran it, and the submission covers the jam version only.
- OfficialJam rule 3: at least 90% of the code has to be written by AI. — Vibe Jam (Pieter Levels)
Built in one month for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 on Three.js, with Codex named as the tool. The leaderboard is served from the game's own site.

“I didn't know what AI was capable of vibe coding at the start of this competition either, so this felt like a really ambitious project to attempt.”Verification notes: Tool (Codex), engine, genre, pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer and mobile flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 22 Apr 2026; final rank 52 of 945 entries, no award); rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. Developer name and location from kieransmith.me (“Hi, I'm Kieran Smith… a full stack web developer from Staffordshire, UK… also a hobbyist game developer”), which links twitter.com/imkieransmith, the handle in the jam data and on the game's start page. Team size is not stated. Modes, controls, the mech call-in and the “one month” and “vertical slice” wording from the game's start page. The submission answers Yes to multiplayer, but we found only a shared leaderboard and no online play in the game's code, so it is not tagged as multiplayer. Titanfall and Severed Steel are named only as inspirations; apart from the word “Titan” for the mech in the controls (“[T] Titan”, “titan brawls”), no assets or names from them were found in the game's text. The game's code talks only to its own leaderboard, the host's script and the jam widget; no calls to AI services were found (its “enemy AI” settings are ordinary game logic). The jam page's widget counters showed 483 plays and 656 portal transfers on 4 Nov 2026 (observed; sessions, not players or downloads, so not recorded as metrics). The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 22 Apr 2026.
Development history
