Little Flock
A cozy multiplayer sheep-farming game in 3D in the browser: build a shelter, raise 12 breeds of sheep, grow crops and share a farm with friends. The developer says GPT 6 Astra in Codex made it one-shot from a single /goal run.

About Little Flock
Little Flock (小羊慢慢) is a free, cozy sheep-farming game in 3D that runs in the browser, with an interface in Simplified Chinese. You start on an empty plot: a 16-step introduction helps you build a shelter, adopt your first sheep, learn daily care and plant a first garden. There are 12 sheep breeds in five rarity tiers with six personalities; you name, pet, feed and shear them, collect wool and welcome newborn lambs. You gather the flock, lead it to the meadow to eat and drink and bring it home again, plant, water and harvest seven crops, fulfil neighbours' orders and upgrade the farm, and follow paths through the home farm, a flower meadow, a mushroom woodland and a stargazing highland. Your shepherd's skin, hair, clothes and hat can be customised with a live 3D preview. Farms are shared: you create one or join by invitation code, and friends share the same inventory, coins, buildings, sheep and progress, with live presence and chat. Day and night, rain, seasonal colours and a gentle soundtrack set the mood, and sheep do not die and ripe crops do not rot. The README says the game was created one-shot by GPT 6 Astra in Codex in a single /goal run, covering the 3D world, the game systems, the multiplayer server, the artwork, the audio and the deployment; in the developer's post the run took about two hours overnight. No AI service is needed to play. The source code is MIT-licensed and the artwork CC BY 4.0.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe README says the game was created one-shot by GPT 6 Astra in Codex, using a single /goal run, whose goal was a complete, playable sheep-farming simulation: the 3D world, game systems, multiplayer server, artwork, audio and deployment. The README publishes a lightly edited version of the original Chinese /goal prompt, which asks for a high-quality 3D shepherd simulator built with React Three Fiber and postprocessing, a Go backend with account login and shared rooms, deployment on the developer's Coolify server, Blender MCP or Tripo 3D for models, and notes files for planning, and says the developer would not take part until it was finished. In the developer's X post, the run was started before bed and the game was done in about two hours by morning; a promotional video was then made from game footage. Per ASSETS.md, the pasture illustration, item atlas and neighbour portraits were generated with OpenAI image generation, the cottage model with Tripo Studio, and the sheep, shepherds, plants, landscape, music and sound effects are built by the source code. The trailer was made afterwards with HyperFrames.
- DeveloperDeveloper's post (8 Sep 2026): asked GPT 6 Astra with /goal to make a sheep-raising simulation game before going to sleep, and found it finished in two hours in the morning, including a server for multiplayer. — X (@songkeys)
The frontend uses React 19, TypeScript, React Three Fiber, Drei and postprocessing; a Go server owns resource changes and game rules, persists each successful action before broadcasting it, and synchronises the shared farm over WebSockets, with PostgreSQL or a local file for saves. The README says to run a single application replica because the active farm simulation lives in one process. Care decay and the farm clock pause when nobody is connected, chat is not saved after reload, and seasons change the scenery rather than crop yields; free building placement, voice chat, account recovery and multiple server replicas are not implemented. The README calls it a small cooperative game and an experiment in building with an AI coding agent.

Verification notes: Features, controls, the prompt and AI use come from the README and ASSETS.md, read through raw.githubusercontent.com on 4 Nov 2026; the MIT licence is from the LICENSE file (© 2026 Little Flock contributors). The developer's X post (8 Sep 2026, 07:50 UTC, in Chinese) was read through a public X mirror API; its view and like counts are not recorded. The hosted game page (title 小羊慢慢 · Little Flock, page language zh-CN) loaded on 4 Nov 2026 and its main script was checked for calls to AI services; none were found, and the README says no AI API key is needed. We did not register an account or play. The release date of the public site is not stated; the post that announced the finished game is dated 8 Sep 2026. The prompt names other games as references for the AI (for example a Minecraft- or Roblox-like way of moving through the world); no names or assets from them were found in the game's description, so no IP notice is recorded. github.com and the GitHub API were not used, so stars and commit dates are unchecked.
Development history
The developer announces the game on X: GPT 6 Astra built it overnight in about two hours from one /goal prompt, including a multiplayer server, and then made a promotional video from game footage.
