About Bellum Liminis
A first-person survival shooter and base builder in the browser, labelled Chapter I. In the entrant's pitch you are stranded after a failed operation and must build a living fortress, gather alien tech and survive escalating waves on a strange procedural frontier. You move with WASD and the mouse, sprint, jump, shoot and aim, fight in melee, fire a grappling hook, reload, switch on a flashlight, look back, and press G to build. The game's texts describe nanites that you collect, with drones and harvesters to fetch them from farther away, a fabricator that spends them on defences, and abilities such as a shockwave; each world comes from a seed that can be shared in the URL. The entrant says the project began with procedural generation and world rendering, then filled the world with life, strange structures and systems that react to the player, which grew into a shooter, base-building and survival game. It was made with Three.js for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists VS Code with GitHub Copilot as the tool. It finished 264th of 945 entries. Free in the browser.
